It really is good to see so many pics I hadn't seen in a while online, your own included. (I've got all four issues of the Journal, BTW. ^_^) Did this one make it into 'Fang, Claw & Steel' at all, or am I thinking of another one of your big musclehorse pics?
Always a pleasure to see your work, but now that I can actually respond immediately: a really swell pic you've done in this. A lot of my work in doing crosshatching/shading from the early 1990s-onwards was inspired by the work I've seen of yours.
And horsies is ossum, too. ^_^
